Pic of the Week: Would You Like Fries With That?

Guest Photo Blogger: Nikon Niece

This trio of pics was taken by my niece Chelsea during our recent trip to visit with family at my bro’s house in Texas. After we left, she awoke to a tarantula outside her bedroom door but passed on getting close enough for a clear shot of it!

We also had a battle of bug images when we each snapped a photo of a grasshopper
that we spotted on a poolside plant. I challenged her to a snap-off
with my iPhone 7 vs the
Nikon Coolpix a900 that she was using.

The Fine Art of Tony Bourdain

While his legions of fans will miss the many attributes of Anthony Bourdain, a 13-foot mural pays tribute to the writer, chef and host of CNN’s “Parts Unknown” on a side wall of the Gramercy bar in Santa Monica.

L.A. Artist Jonas Never, who also spray-painted a mural of former Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington (who died last year) at Rock’N Pies in Sherman Oaks, completed the artwork in two days.
