Sunny with a 100% Chance of Eggs
Eggs. Prepared any style. Mmmmm…..
Ever since we saw the first Eggslut location at the Cosmopolitan hotel during a recent trip to Vegas, we’ve been wanting to check this place out.
So when we found out that a pair had opened in L.A. — one at the Beverly Center mall and one a bit closer to our house in Venice — we decided to hit up the latter. From an egg salad sandwich (cage-free hard-cooked eggs with thinly sliced chives mixed in honey mustard with dressed arugula on a warm brioche bun for $6) to the signature “Slut” (a coddled egg on top of a smooth potato purée, poached in a glass jar, topped with gray salt and chives, served with slices of baguette, $9) —this all-day breakfast joint did not disappoint.
Rounding out our tasty variety of options was the ultimate breakfast sandwich comprised of an over-medium egg, bacon and melted cheddar and chipotle ketchup on a brioche bun ($7).
(*If you don’t want bread — though it would be hard to pass on a brioche that’s made locally and delivered fresh daily — they’ll substitute salad on any sandwich at no extra charge.)
Eggs all day!
